Sometimes, the kid falls down. He falls down a lot, actually. A few times a day. He’s a kid. He’s going to fall. But whenever he falls, I clap until he gets back up, and then I go wild and cheer. If I don’t, he focuses on the fall. If I don’t he cries. When I clap, he’s distracted and he’s happy and he forgets about falling and failing and he gets back up and he walks some more like it never even happened. So you fell. Congratulations, good for you, you stumbled and lost your footing and fell. You only ever suffer when you stay down. Get back up. Cheer. Go on with your day.
